Jianxin Zhu received the B. S. degree in applied mathematics, the M. S. degree in computational mathematics and the Ph. D. in applied mathematics from Zhejiang University in 1984, 1991 and 1998, respectively. Since 1984, he has been with the Department of Mathematics of Zhejiang University, where he is currently a professor.
