Dr. Ozbolat is Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department at The University of Iowa. He is also affiliated in the Center for Computer-aided Design as a research professor. He is the Co-director of Advanced Manufacturing Technology at the University of Iowa and leads Design for Manufacturing Laboratory and Bio-manufacturing Laboratory. He received his Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University at Buffalo and dual B.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and in Industrial Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Turkey. Dr. Ozbolats major research thrust is in the area of Biomanufacturing, Tissue Engineering, 3D Printing and Electronics Manufacturing. His research has been published in high quality of venues and featured in media, broadcast TVs and press numerous times. He received several local, national and international awards and belongs to IIE, ASME, SME, APM and TERMIS.
