Biography

Dr. Alan Fujii is Medical Director of the NICU at Boston Medical Center. He is an associate professor of Pediatrics at Boston University. He is a graduate of UCDavis, UCLA Medical School.  He was trained in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital, completing fellowships in pediatric cardiology and neonatal-perinatal medicine through the Joint Program in Neonatology (Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Children’s Hospital).

Research Interest

Research interests includes maintenance of central venous catheters, use of newer surfactants, management of PDA in extremely premature infants, and use of bedside ultrasound in the NICU. These specific interests are part of an overall interest in NICU quality improvement and resource utilization.
